Strangely, to pair it, you have to type in a number and enter, which all works fine. In fact, Solaar plays no role when you keyboard turn back on nor it have any influence on input keystroke processing. The only sign that I have that the iPad recognizes the existence of the Logitech bluetooth keyboard is under "settings > Bluetooth" where it says it's paired. Forget it. Updating the Broadcom bluetooth driver through Device Manager didn't help.
